How to Pay Bus Fares
Board the bus through the front door with your exact fare. Bus Operators do not carry change. The fare box accepts the following currency:
Coins: 1¢, 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, 50¢ and $1 coins.
Bills: $1, $5, $10, $20 and electronic value cards.
El Metro does not sell monthly or weekly passes. El Metro does sale value cards inside the bus. The farebox inside the bus will give electronic value cards of up to $20 in stored fares.
Please advise the bus operator at all times when trying to obtain a value card.
