El Lift Paratransit
The El Lift Paratransit Service provides shared, origin to destination public transportation to people with disabilities who are unable to use El Metro’s fixed route buses. Paratransit services are a shared-ride service operated with modern, accessible vehicles. Riders who are unable to access vans using steps may use wheel chair lifts.
We are here to provide safe, reliable, dependable, and efficient public transportation for persons with disabilities.

Eligibility Information
Who is eligible to use Paratransit service?
Persons within the city limits of Laredo who are unable because of their disability, to use fixed-route buses and have been verified as eligible by a personnel or designated representative of a qualified social service agency. Final eligibility determination will be made by El Metro.
How can I establish eligibility for El Lift?
Prospective El Lift riders need to fill out the application form and have a physician or other medical professional verify eligibility

El Lift Fares
Cash: $1.00 per trip
Guest: $1.00 per trip
Personal Care Attendant (PCA’s) travel with eligible passenger: No Charge
El Lift 10-ride book: $10.00
All eligible riders, regardless of age, must pay exact fare when boarding. Operators cannot give change. El Lift 10-ride book may be purchased at the following locations:
